I admit it. I have a lazy streak. (no comments about that, please) So, anyway, I finally work up the "energy" it takes to post, and lo and behold, I can't get the blogger thingie to work at all. So, we'll start all over with this new blog and see how it goes.
So, exactly what have we been up to all this time? Well, let's see...we'll start with a violin recital! Rachel had her first violin recital in mid-May. She did absolutely wonderful! Of course, she had the jitters, but you sure couldn't tell while she was performing. She didn't miss a note! The picture below was taken just before we left the house to go to her recital. We've also been busy with garden. We planted our cool weather things (broccoli, brussel sprouts, cabbage, onions) and just as things were really looking good, we had a hard freeze. A few things were killed, but most were just stunted. So then we plant green beans, corn, etc...and it doesn't rain. And it hasn't rained much since. The cow pond has dried up and the creek is no longer flowing. We're praying for rain!!
Oggie loves to ride the 4-wheeler with Katie. In fact, Oggie just generally loves to ride anything! Doesn't matter to him....just so long as the wheels are moving.
School is O-V-E-R!!! We were all ready for a summer break. I'm busy planning our new school year. We have a busy summer planned. Jacob is going on a missions trip in July to the Dominican Republic. He'll be gone for a week. He's actually leaving on his 16th birthday, and he's really looking forward to it. Amy will be coming home for a visit in July, too! We're all looking forward to that.
That's about all for now. I'll try to be more diligent about posting. Oh and by the way, our "old" blog is still here if you want to see it www.homeschoolblogger.com/TNfarmandschool
